How Maya built it

Maya started filming her glazing tests in a shared studio in Hackney, mostly so she could remember which recipes cracked. The clips found an audience faster than the bowls did.

On Fanfold she runs a monthly members' firing: subscribers vote on the glaze, watch the kiln opening live, and get first pick of the batch through a 48-hour drop.

Drops now sell out in under ten minutes, and she has moved into her own studio with two apprentices.
